DIY – paper neckless

12 augusti, 2013

This paper neckless is one of many posts with paper-DIY I made during the summer specially for the Malmöfestivalen 2013 (lots more to come… ). Check out my stuff at Palladium during the festival, 16-23 of August.

To make the neckless you need: thick paper/carton, a heart shaped paper punch, a small paper punch to make the holes, a hammer, metallic rings (like these from Panduro), a lock (like this from Panduro) and pliers.

DIY: Punch out the hearts.

Punch out two holes in each heart. Be careful of your furnitures with a piece of wood between the punch and the table, floor or whatever you punch against. halsband4After punching the holes you simply connect the hearts with your metallic rings and finally get it ready to wear by putting on the lock.halsband7I made a matching bracelet and some more styles as well. It was quick and fun!halsband3On one of these necklaces (below) I used an old vintage lock and the other did not need a lock as it was long enough to get over my head. halsband_6Well a paper neckless maybe isn´t the kind of jewelry you pass on to your grandkids. It´s more of a wear and tear piece. But it can be effect-full, cheap and fun anyway.

Lots of love! /Nina
