DIY – garlands made of Rowans

22 september, 2013

This is something I have wanted to do for years – garlands made of Rowans. Thank you Pia at Form/Design Center in Malmö for reminding me while there was still fresh Rowans to find! When dried theses garlands will last for years to come and can be used for all kinds of autumn and christmas decorations.

You need: Rowans and perhaps other berries that will dry in the same way, needle and thread. Something to hang the garlands on to dry when you are done.

DIY: Pick the berries (you might need a ladder). Thread them on the thread with the needle. Hang them to dry. Done – enjoy!

I think the berries are beautiful simply laying on a plate to dry!

Lots of love! / Nina
